A-Thon Ashva 6x6 & Ashva 4x4 Showcased At Invest Karnataka Summit - India's First SSVs
Bangalore-based ATV startup A-Thon Allterrain stole the show at the Invest Karnataka Global investors summit in Bangalore showcasing the Ashva 6x6 & Ashva 4x4, India's first side-by-side vehicles (SSVs).
The Ashva 4x4 and 6x6 SSV are according to A-Thon built to be the ultimate workhorses on the farm. Both vehicles offer great towing capacity to haul equipment and materials.

Speaking to our sister publication, GoodReturns, at the Invest Karnataka Summit, Vikash Choudhary, Head of Marketing, A-Thon Allterrain stated that while the Ashva 4x4 was already on sale (by invite only), the 6x6 variant was not. He also stated that A-Thon was looking to expand its production setup from the current 5 units a month setup.
Both Ashva 4x4 and 6x6 SSV are powered by the same 976cc, V-twin engine that pushes out either 71 or 85hp depending on the variant chosen. This liquid-cooled engine is paired with a CVT engine.

The Ashva 4x4 and 6x6 both feature a double wishbone at the front and while the 6x6 keeps the same setup at the back, the 4x4 features a trailing arm setup at the rear with camber links. Both SSVs sport dual-rated coilovers with nitro charge piggyback canisters and ride on 15-inch alloy wheels that are shod with massive 31-inch off-road tyres and offer an insane 381mm of ground clearance. Braking duties are carried out by disc brakes all around.
As expected, the Ashva 4x4 is the smaller of the two vehicles measuring 3,556mm long, 1,950mm wide, 2,000mm tall. It features a 2,600mm wheelbase, weighs in at 950kgs (dry) and has a payload capacity of 600kg.

The Ashva 6x6, on the other hand, measures 4,210mm long, 1,950mm wide, and 2,000mm tall and features a 3,300mm long wheelbase. The six-wheeled SSV weights 1,150kg (dry) and has a payload capacity of 800kg.
Both the Ashva 4x4 and 6x6 are capable of climbing up a 65-degree slope and can drive over a side slope of 45 degrees. The interior features bucket seats (only for the top-spec 4x4) and a digital instrument cluster. Also featured are hitches at both the front and the rear of the vehicles that can be used to connect them with an array of farm equipment.
