Ashok Leyland Joins Chennai Super Kings As Official Sponsor For IPL 2026
Five-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings have officially announced a new partnership with Ashok Leyland for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 season. The 2026 CSK team jersey, featuring the Ashok Leyland logo, was unveiled by captain Ruturaj Gaikwad during a recent event.
Ashok Leyland Joins CSK For IPL 2026
Ashok Leyland, part of the Hinduja Group, has now become the new official sponsor for the Chennai-based CSK franchise. Marking the partnership, the Ashok Leyland logo will appear on the top-right side of all CSK jerseys.
The partnership announcement was made in the presence of Ashok Leyland Chairman Dheeraj Hinduja, Managing Director and CEO Shenu Agarwal, CSK's captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ayush Mhatre, India's U19 World Cup-winning captain and CSK player.
Speaking about the partnership, Ashok Leyland Chairman Dheeraj Hinduja said, "We are delighted to join hands with the Chennai Super Kings, a team that embodies excellence, consistency, and a winning spirit. Through this partnership, we celebrate our shared values of resilience and high performance. We are proud to support a team that has brought immense pride to our home city."
The specially designed CSK team bus also welcomed Ashok Leyland as the new sponsor, featuring the brand logo styled with the iconic CSK chant "Whistle Podu." CSK franchise Managing Director K. S. Viswanathan also welcomed Ashok Leyland to the CSK family as an official sponsor. The company has long been associated with Gulf Oil, which itself is one of the key sponsors of the Chennai Super Kings franchise.
The CSK team bus now also features the Ashok Leyland logo integrated into the whistle-themed branding. The Hinduja Group-owned brand is one of the largest commercial vehicle manufacturers in the Indian market and remains a major exporter of commercial vehicles from India. CSK is also one of the most iconic cricket franchises in the country, and partnering with the team offers strong commercial and brand visibility.
For Ashok Leyland, a Chennai-based company, sponsoring a Chennai-based IPL team further strengthens its brand appeal and local connection. With IPL's massive viewership, the partnership is expected to give Ashok Leyland significant brand visibility across India and global cricket audiences.
