Ultraviolette X-47 Gets Cheaper New Variant In India: Rs 15,000 More Affordable
Ultraviolette has launched a new base variant of the Ultraviolette X-47 crossover electric motorcycle in India. The newly introduced variant is priced at Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and mainly differs from the standard model by missing out on the brand's advanced Hypersense Radar technology.
Ultraviolette X-47 Gets New Affordable Variant
Bengaluru-based EV startup Ultraviolette has become one of the most recognised premium electric two-wheeler brands from India. Models like the Ultraviolette F77 and the Ultraviolette X-47 have gained popularity among enthusiasts and tech-focused buyers for their futuristic design, performance, and advanced safety technologies.

With the introduction of this new base variant, Ultraviolette aims to make the X-47 more accessible to buyers by reducing the price by around Rs 15,000 compared to the standard version.
Missing Hypersense
The biggest difference between the standard X-47 and the newly launched variant is the removal of Ultraviolette's Hypersense Radar system. This Generation 6 radar technology is one of the most advanced rider-assistance systems available on a two-wheeler and includes features such as blind-spot detection, overtake alerts, rear-collision warning, and additional rider safety assistance functions.

Tech Features
Despite missing out on the radar-based safety system, the motorcycle still retains several premium features and advanced electronics. It continues to offer multiple riding modes including Glide, Combat, and Ballistic, along with three levels of regenerative braking, traction control, dual-channel ABS, dynamic stability control, hill hold assist, park assist, TPMS, Type-C charging support, smartphone connectivity, Violette AI support, deep sleep mode, and a dashcam module.
Battery and Range
The Ultraviolette X-47 continues to deliver segment-leading performance figures for an electric motorcycle. It is powered by a 7.1 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor producing 36.2 hp and an impressive 550 Nm of wheel torque.

Performance remains identical to the standard variant, allowing the motorcycle to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.8 seconds while achieving a claimed top speed of 145 km/h. The motorcycle also claims a maximum IDC-certified riding range of 211 km on a single charge.
Price and Warranty
Ultraviolette also offers an optional Boost Charger for faster charging convenience. The battery pack comes with a standard warranty of 3 years or 60,000 km, which can be extended up to 5 years or 1,00,000 km. The standard Ultraviolette X-47 is currently priced at Rs 2.64 lakh (ex-showroom), while the new base variant is priced at Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
