BMW's New M4 Revealed In Concept Form At Pebble Beach

For those who might still be confused with BMW's new nomenclature, this M4 is a successor to the M3 Coupe. The sedan equivalent of the M4 continues to be called M3.

Lets us tell you about the colour first since it is inadvertently the first thing that will catch your attention. BMW calls it ‘Aurum Dust' and it will be exclusive to the M4.

The M4 Concept showcases the typical BMW M division style. The exterior shows off its toned muscular design, from the body line, to the fenders to the rear, reflecting the power and performance of an M car.

The front air dam has been divided into three sections which channel air over to the engine and over the tyres.

At the end of the front fenders are air vents which facilitate air flow in a way which improves the aerodynamics.

The bonnet features a raised doom with a flat top, hinting of a large engine it hides underneath.

A performance is not complete without the use of lightweight carbon. The M4 uses carbon exhaust tips and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic roof,that has been left exposed.

The five split-spoke alloy wheels are massive, measuring 20 inches, shod in low profile tyres.

There is no massive rear spoiler of course, instead a small raised flap, integrated into the bonnet does the job.

The rear end of the car looks even better than the front, at least to our eyes, with its carbon fiber diffuser and quad exhaust outlets.
