Thar Commander Jeep Launch
With the price tag of Rs 7 lakhs, Mahinda works out to introduce this first in Kerala and Rajasthan in this December. The SUV is on the run now in South African roads at the price range of Rs 9.5- 10 lakhs. M&M intends to refine this SUV to suit the Indian demands, said an official from the company.
According to a Mumbai dealer this new SUV will be fortified by the young drivers . No more information about the vehicle, except that there will be soft top and hard top versions of this SUV. To be accurate, this Thar will be the refined form of Commander Jeep 5 and is fitted with latest suspensions and sturdier to face the rough lines. To meet the sporty energy, the car will be crafted to run on a 2.5 lit, CRDi diesel engine. M&M is too diplomatic to offer the retro product, as there is a great vacuum under this sector.
Thar will be rolled down from the Kandivili facility on the lines of its Scorpio SUV with the initial target of 5,000 annual units. Other UVs from M&M are Bolero and Xylo.
