Nano Catches Fire Again, Will We See A Recall?

The people travelling the nano smelt smoke coming from the car and immediately stopped the Nano. The Tata Nano had already caught fire and two fire tenders were brought to douse the fire after 15 minutes. Not much of the car could be saved.
This is the fourth time a Tata Nano has been reported to have caught fire. It is surprising,m rather shocking that Tata Motors has not responde4d to these incidents yet. Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata had earlier said there could be a possibility of sabotage or improper use of parts. But no concrete reason has been found out yet.
Will the Tata Nano be the first Indian car to be recalled by the central government's National Auto motive Board that will be set up to monitor safety in vehicles? India does not have a recall policy and carmakers have only recalled their cars in India after they did the same in other markets.
All the fire accidents reported on the Tata Nano say the fire started in the rear where the engine is placed. Users of the Nano say they feel slight heat of the engine in the rear cabin. Does this indicate a reduced use of insulation?
Tata Motors must respond to these situations quickly or risk losing the credibility and image it has built so far.
