Maruti Vehicles To Get Dearer – Prices To Go Up By Rs 9000

This is an yet another price rise from the country"s top most carmaker Maruti Suzuki and now the price range is by Rs 9000 again due to the rise in input costs. The rise, by 0.2 - 2.4% is applicable to several of its models converting to Rs 1100- Rs 9000 based on the models said the company. With no specific information from the company on fixed models, it is learnt that the rise may be applicable for its cross section of models which include Maruti 800 (Rs1.97lakhs) to the recent Kizashi sedan (Rs17.5 lakhs).

Maruti said the revision of price will be from April 4 and to be the second such rise on this calendar year after January when it was by Rs 8000 barring its fast selling Alto K10. However, Maruti is not the only company to rise the price out of rise input costs as Tata Motors implemented the rise of its passenger vehicles by Rs36000 from this month. Hyundai Motor too is on the footsteps of these companies in effecting the price rise.
