Ford Planning Sub-Figo Car In India By 2015
Taking cue from the success of the Figo hatchback, Ford is reportedly planning to build an other small car in India which sits below the Figo. Targeted at high sales volumes, the sub-Figo small car is expected to be launched before 2015.
Currently, Ford doesn't have any car positioned below the Figo and the new small car could be exclusively for the India market. No other details of the car have been available, however, it could be expected that the new car wold be an affordable highly fuel efficient one that would challenge the likes of Maruti Alto and Hyundai Eon.
The Ford small car is among the range of 8 cars the carmaker had announced for India last year. Meanwhile, the company has already begun an aggressive strategy in the market by reducing spare costs of its cars.
