Fake Ferrari Racket Busted In Spain
They say imitation is the best form of flattery, but the person, or in this case, the automaker, we are sure, is anything but flattered. The spanish police, earlier this week, busted a fake car racket in which eight people were arrested and charged.
Replica cars are actually quite common, but most of the time the people building replica models of Ferraris, Lamborghinis or other rare vintage models, do so for their personal use. If other wise it could be termed as copyright infringement.

The replica cars, we believe had engines from different cars (the image shows one of the engines to be from a Toyota), possibly tuned to sound like a sports cars. As you can see from the image, the fake Ferrari F430s feature detailed body, along with Ferrari branded brake callipers and similar wheels. The engine bays were well detailed as well, according to the police. The cheap interiors, on the other hand, easily give away the fake credentials of these cars.
The group used to sell these vehicles for around 40,000 Euros (INR 32,17,304).
