Ford Shelby GT500 Lego Model Will Leave Wanting One
LEGO enthusiasts are known to create some of the most outrageous and outstanding models of everything from huge castles to Star Wars spacecrafts to fully functional automobiles.
A Spanish named Fernando from Sheepo Garage has created one of the latter. To be specific, a fully operational Ford Shelby GT500, albeit a 1:8 scaled down model.
After seeing the custom LEGO Ford GT500 in action we are definite you'll want one for yourself. Unfortunately, the model is not for sale. The best you can do is build one of your own. The accompanying might give you some ideas.

The custom LEGO Ford GT500 has been built using 3,500 lego parts. The only part of the car that could not be made - the 5.8 liter supercharged V8 engine - has been replaced with electric motors.

The operational doors, front hood and rear boot door were perhaps the easy parts. The hood even opens via a button in the dashboard.

There is a five speed transmission that works and even consists of a reverse. The functional steering is controlled via a remote that is also made from LEGO parts.

The other impressive parts include the working suspensions. The front has MacPherson struts and four-link solid axle work at the rear end.
Last but not the least, our favourite are the gear indicators which change numbers when the gears are changed using the remote. Take a look
