ItalDesign Giugiaro Parcour Concept
The simplest way to turn a supercar into an off road vehicle would be to add beefier wheels and off-road suspensions to raise the ride height. But its not as easy as it might sound. It takes a lot more skill and talent to make an eye catching design and a whole lot more of imagination to be able make heads turn at an auto show filled with stunning pieces of machines.
ItalDesign Giugiaro, an auto design studio from Italy, which is owned by VW has managed to do just that with their Parcour concept. Displayed at the Geneva Motor Show the Parcour concept has won many hearts of both critics and the general public.

ItalDesign's Parcour is named after the modern day sport of Parkour, indicating the vehicles ability to make its own road where there is non.

The Parcour is based on the Lamborghini Gallardo, with which it shares its chassis and engine.

The SUV is powered by the same 5.2-liter V10 engine from the Gallardo delivering 550 HP.

The engine is mated to a 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission, which transfers power to all four wheels.

The suspensions on the Parcour is based on the Aventador's design instead of the Gallardo. However, in place of pushrod suspension the Parcour gets coilovers - two for each wheel.

In addition, the Parcour has been fitted with a hydraulic system which can increase the ride height, ranging from 8.2 inches to 13 inches.

0-100 km/h (62 mph) is acheived in 3.6 seconds and top speed is 320 km/h (199 mph)

ItalDesign Giugiaro has also featured a convertible version of the Parcour at Geneva

Unfortunately, the ItalDesign Giugiaro Parcour is not likely to be ever produced.
