Lamborghini Aventador Production Hits 2000th Unit

Aventador, the 700HP, V12, all-wheel drive Italian raging bull came into being in early 2011. Since then Lamborghini been producing, on an average, five Aventador supercars everyday. One Thursday the 2000th Aventador LP 700-4 coupe model rolled out of the production line in Sant'Agata Bologna.

When it came out some two years back it had the responsibility of maintaining the legacy of its predecessor, Lamborghini Murcielago. The Murcielago, also a successful model, reached the 2,000 unit milestone on March 2006, with production having begun in 2001.

What the Murcielago took four and a half years to achieve the Aventador managed in just two short years. At present demand for the Lamborghini Aventador still remains strong and the waiting period crosses the one year mark.

The lucky owner of the 2,000th Lamborghini Aventador is Thaddeus Arroyo, who is the Chief Intelligence Officer for AT&T. Arroyo, a Lamborghini enthusiast, already owns a Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Spyder. He go the first taste of the Aventador at a Lamborghini event in Palm Beach. A test ride later Arroyo had made up his mind to get one for himself.
