Honda India Plans To Sell 3 Lakh Vehicles By 2017
Honda is currently having a successful run with its product range in India. They have just launched its first MPV in India, the Mobilio. They have successful products in almost every segment with the City, Amaze and Brio.
The Japanese manufacturer now plans to achieve the milestone of selling 3 lakh vehicles by 2017 in India alone. Honda has an overall growth plan of selling 6 lakh vehicles across Asia by 2017. They know India is a major market and are expecting great sales from it.

They have recently halted the production of its City, so they can move to their new facility in Tapukara. The move is being made to increase the production and lower the waiting period of its sedan. Currently they manufacture their Mobilio MPV in Rajasthan.

Honda India has currently invested in two facilities to boost its manufacturing capacity. The Tapukara and Greater Noida facility have a combined capacity of 2.4 lakh vehicles per year. Currently the Japanese manufacturer is not using the entire capacity of its facilities.

The Japanese manufacturer is set to launch more products in India and in Asian markets to entice buyers. This will help Honda to achieve its goals and future plans. They have dropped the idea of manufacturing a vehicle smaller than the Brio in India.
