Toyota Launching Corolla Altis Tomorrow
Toyota revealed their new Corolla Altis at the 2014 Auto Expo which was held in New Delhi. The Japanese automobile manufacturer will be launching the vehicle tomorrow. Toyota dealers have commenced bookings of the new Corolla Altis.
A booking amount of INR 50,000 is being accepted prior to the launch. The Corolla Altis will be delivered to owners a week after the launch of the vehicle. This is the 11th generation of Toyota's Corolla Altis and was revealed to the world in June, 2013.

The front of the 2014 Corolla Altis has been redesigned and has a more aggressive look. It will sport a three chrome fin grille with the Toyota logo sitting proud in the centre. The car follows a new design philosophy which the manufacturer calls 'Furia'.
The bumper of Toyota's 2014 Corolla Altis has been redesigned and follows the same aggressive design in the front. The sharp and aggressive lines continue over the hood. The new Corolla Altis looks meaner than the earlier generation which looked a lot more subtle.

The new Corolla Altis will use the same engine as the previous model. A 1.8-litre VVT-I petrol powered engine will churn out 173 Nm of peak torque along with 138 bhp. The diesel engine will sport a 1.4-litre D-4D mill which, will generate 205 Nm of peak torque along with 87 bhp.
Both the engines will receive a manual 6-speed gearbox. Toyota could also provide an auto 'box in the petrol option - a 7-speed automatic transmission. Automatic variants of cars have seen a sudden jump in demand.

The 2014 Corolla Altis will be longer as well as wider than the outgoing model. The wheelbase of the sedan has been extended by 75mm. The car rides on new and stylish looking alloy wheels, the wheel arches have been flared out to give it a bigger presence.
The Corolla Altis will fit right into the competition with Skoda's Octavia, Hyundai's Elantra and Volkswagen's Jetta. The price of the 2014 Toyota Corolla Altis will be higher than the outgoing model. We expect the new sedan to cost INR 40,000 to INR 50,000 more.
