Tata Xenon Facelift To Be Launched In 2017
The facelifted Tata Xenon will be launched in India in 2017.
Tata's pickup truck, the Xenon has been waiting for an update for a while now. And with the entry of Isuzu D-Max V-Cross into the market, the Xenon has a tough competitor in India.
According to reports, the Xenon facelifted version will be launched in India in 2017. The new Xenon has already been spotted testing and the facelifted Xenon does not get major changes in terms of exterior design.
It is speculated that the powertrain of the Xenon will be updated. Although the engine will remain the same 2.2-litre diesel motor.
But the engine will be tuned to produce around 154bhp and 400Nm of torque. It is believed that the new Xenon will be available with the new six-speed automatic gearbox which is used in the soon to be launched Tata Hexa.
Initially, Tata Motors will introduce the single-cab variant of the Xenon with a price tag of around Rs 8 lakh. The currently sold Xenon 4x2 is priced at Rs 9.92 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and Xenon 4x4 at Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The facelifted Xenon will feature new front grille, updated front bumper and body coloured slat. The new Xenon will go head on with the likes of Isuzu D-Max V-Cross and yet to be launched Mahindra Scorpio Getaway.
