Aston Martin's latest teaser for the new upcoming 2018 Vantage sees a very special guest get behind the wheel of the upcoming car — F1's Dutch superstar and the king of crazy overtakes, Max Verstappen.
Seeing the 20-year-old F1 sensation go drifting in the 2018 Vantage isn't something surprising as Aston Martin had hinted at that in the previous teaser which revealed the date the new sports car would be revealed to the public.

However, despite the fact that Verstappen goes drifting in the new video, it is not F1's Dutch darling's driving skills that catch your attention. Aston Martin dynamics chief engineer Matt Becker, who is in the car with Verstappen, revealed a few facts and figures about the new Aston to the Dutchman which will interest the spec heads.

Becker revealed that the new Vantage, which uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 from Mercedes-AMG, will produce over 500bhp and 685Nm of torque. The new Aston Martin Vantage also weighs in at 1,530kg dry and has a wheelbase that is 100mm shorter than the DB11.

The increase in power compared to the old Vantage (which had just 430bhp on tap) should bring the new sports car's 0-100kph sprint time down closer to 4.0-seconds compared to the current 4.8s. While the shorter wheelbase should make the new Vantage a lot more agile, which can be seen in the video as Verstappen throws it into corners.
