The facelifted Hyundai Xcent is expected to launch this month in India and will feature a new diesel engine and design tweaks.
South Korean carmaker Hyundai is expected to launch the facelifted version of its Xcent compact sedan in India this month (April 2017).

The new 2017 Hyundai Xcent is expected to sport a brand new diesel engine along with revised design and features similar to the ones found on the facelifted Grand i10.

Regarding design, the new Hyundai Xcent facelift is expected to sport the facelifted i10's new front fascia, with the revised grille, LED DRLs and new fog lamp enclosures. The rear end of the facelifted Xcent is also likely to be tweaked, and the compact sedan will sit on new alloy wheels as well.

Inside, the 2017 Hyundai Xcent is likely to feature a new colour scheme with higher spec models featuring a 7.0-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The lower spec models will feature a smaller 5.0-inch display.

The Xcent's current 1.1-litre diesel replacement is a 3-cylinder 1.2-litre turbo diesel engine that produces 74 bhp and 180Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.2-litre petrol engine remains unchanged.

The 2017 Hyundai Xcent facelift will compete with the likes of the newly launched Tata Tigor and the Maruti Swift Dzire and the Ford Aspire. Prices for the new Hyundai Xcent are expected to start at around Rs 5.50 lakh.
