FCA has recalled the Jeep Compass SUV in India over airbag issue.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has announced a recall of the Jeep Compass SUV in India due to an airbag issue.
The recall has been initiated to rectify an issue with the passenger side airbag which affects around 1,200 units of Jeep Compass in India, manufactured between September 5 to November 19, 2017.

This move from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is a part of a global recall which was announced on November 22, 2017, which has affected 7,000 units of Jeep Compass in the US market and around 1,000 units of the SUV in countries such as Canada and Mexico.

The reason behind this recall is to repair the loose fasteners which have made its way into the airbag module during the assembly of the airbag. The automaker has stated that the loose fasteners are a threat to the front passenger if the airbag deploys.
