Lamborghini To Use Carbon Fibre In Prosthetics
Italian automaker Lamborghini will study on the feasibility of carbon fibre in the new-age prosthetics.
Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini has signed an agreement to partner with the Houston Methodist Research Institute to use its expertise in carbon fibre.
The Italian automaker will study the viability of usage of carbon fibre in new-age prosthetics. The use of carbon fibre will be a revolution in the medical field.

Lamborghini aims to create new materials which will be lighter, provide more resistance over time and will be better tolerated by the human body. This news might not be very exciting for petrol heads.

But the news is the latest example of how the automotive technology is gradually funnelling into the society and in the medical field.

Lamborghini has been the leading car manufacturer to use carbon fibre since 2007. The company is further developing the technology through its Automobili Lamborghini Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory (ACSL) in Washington.

Apart from the latest agreement signed, Lamborghini also works with several medical facilities across Italy on various research projects.
