2017 Nissan Leaf Debut Date Revealed
Nissan will reveal the all-new Leaf electric car on September 6, 2017.
Nissan announced that the upcoming new Nissan Leaf would be the first vehicle in the automaker's global product lineup equipped with ProPILOT Park.
The Japanese company also revealed that the Leaf would premiere globally on September 6, 2017. Nissan will introduce the new Propilot Park technology on Leaf, which will be the first product from the manufacturer to be equipped with the new feature.

The Propilot park technology uses sonar and cameras to enable the car to park itself in parallel, angled, front or straight back-in parking spots, handling throttle, braking and steering input.
The parking assist feature will come as part of the car's Propilot suite, which also includes a single-lane, semi-autonomous feature. The new Leaf will be Nissan's most advanced autonomous model on sale.

The Leaf will also be the most capable electric model in its range and is expected to offer a range of up to 547km, more than twice the range of its previous model.
Thanks to a new battery pack which enables the new Nissan Leaf to extend its range by another 145km compared to the Renault Zoe. The largest battery could double the 30kWh lithium-ion pack seen in the highest-spec version of the current Leaf.

Ahead of its unveiling, Nissan has released a teaser that provides a glimpse of the new LEAF's sharp LED daytime running lights and headlamp unit. The design language is expected to be in lines of the UK-spec 2017 Micra, which is not sold in India.

When the new Nissan Leaf launches, with the new battery pack, the company will be able to retail the Leaf with big battery options like Tesla is currently doing with its models. This will further increase Nissan's offering of electric powertrain on other models as well.
