Ford Freestyle Website Goes Live; Variants, Features, Accessories, Mileage & More Details Revealed
Ford Freestyle website has gone live and key details of the crossover have been revealed.
Ford India is all set to launch the Freestyle in India. The company calls the Freestyle as India's first Compact Utility Vehicle (CUV). Now, the website of the Freestyle has gone live and key details such as variants, features, accessories and mileage have been revealed.

Ford Freestyle Specifications
The Ford Freestyle will be offered with two engine options, a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The all-new Dragon series petrol engine produces 94.6bhp and 120Nm of torque an returns a claimed mileage of 19kpl.

The diesel engine churns out 98.6bhp and 215Nm of torque and delivers a claimed mileage of 24.4kpl. Both the engines will be coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The interior of the Freestyle will be equipped with 6.5-inch SYNC3 touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Ford Freestyle Variants And Colours
The Ford Freestyle will be offered in four trim levels: Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+ and will be available in six colour options: Canyon Ridge, Moondust Silver, Smoke Grey, White Gold, Oxford White, and Absolute Black.

Ford Freestyle Safety Features
Safety features such as dual airbags at the front, ABS, EBD, engine immobilizer, reverse parking sensors, keyless entry, approach sensors, perimeter theft alarm, seat-belt reminder, and automatic relock at 15 km/h will be offered as standard across the variants.

All the variants except for the Ambiente trim gets reverse parking camera. The top-spec Titanium+ trim gets additional safety features such as Active Rollover Protection (ARP), side and curtain airbags, and Emergency Assistance.

Ford Freestyle Features
Other features of the fully-loaded variant of the Freestyle include power fold ORVMs, electrochromic IRVM, automatic climate control, automatic headlamp, rain sensing wipers, engine start/stop button and Ford MyKey.

Ford Freestyle Accessories
Apart from that, Ford will also offer a host of accessories for the Freestyle. The list of accessories for the CUV includes body stripe kit and roof wrap, seat covers, sun blinds, rear spoiler, shark fin antenna, 15-inch alloy wheels and slimline weather shield.

Ford will also offer several other accessories such as automatic headlamps, engine under shield, anti-theft nuts, neck rest and pillow, rearview camera, roof rails, smart ambient lighting and shark fin antenna.

Thoughts On The Ford Freestyle
The Ford Freestyle is based on the Figo hatchback and is a crossover which is termed as CUV. The Freestyle looks rugged and will attract the Indian buyers. Ford is expected to launch the Freestyle in April 2018 and watch out for our first drive review of the Freestyle coming up in a few days.

Expect the Ford Freestyle to be priced in the range of Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh ex-showroom and will lock horns with the likes of Toyota Etios Cross, Volkswagen Polo Cross, Hyundai i20 Active and Fiat Avventura.
