Petrol Price In Mumbai Crosses Rs 91 Per Litre, Diesel Priced At Rs 79.72 Per Litre
The petrol and diesel prices in India continue to surge and the fuel prices in some cities has hit a new high. The petrol price in Mumbai has crossed the Rs 90 mark and is priced at Rs 91.08/litre. Similarly, a litre of diesel in the finance capital costs Rs 79.72.

The situation is not different in other major cities of the country. In Delhi, the petrol is priced at Rs 83.73/litre while a litre of diesel costs Rs 75.09. The petrol price in Kolkata stands at Rs 85.53/litre and the diesel is priced at Rs 76.94/litre.

The petrol price in Chennai is also increasing day-by-day and the current price stands at Rs 87.05/litre. The diesel is also inching towards Rs 80 mark and it is currently priced at Rs 79.40 per litre. The petrol price has also gone up in Bangalore with a price tag of Rs 84.40/litre while a litre of diesel costs Rs 75.48.

The main reason behind the surge in the fuel prices is the increasing demand for crude oil and the declining of rupee value against the US dollar. With the daily revision of fuel price in India, the petrol and diesel prices are increased day-by-day and as a result, the prices are hitting a new high in several cities.

Previously, we had also reported about the fuel stations being upgraded to display three-digit fuel price in the country. Yes, there will be no surprise if the petrol price crosses Rs 100 mark. With the rate of increase, we can expect the petrol price to cross Rs 99/litre. To tackle the situation, the fuel stations are upgrading the fuel dispensers to display three-digit prices.

Thoughts On The Fuel Price Hike
The fuel prices in India have hit a new high in major cities and the petrol price has crossed Rs 91/litre in Mumbai. Consumers are suffering from the inflation of fuel prices and the government should take necessary steps to reduce the price of petrol and diesel. With the current rate of the hike, the petrol price might soon cross Rs 100/litre.
