Tata Harrier Modified By Dealership — White/Black Dual-Tone Colour Scheme Looks Good

Tata Harrier Modified: A Tata Motors dealership modified this Tata Harrier with white + black roof colour scheme. The dual-tone Tata Harrier looks really good.

Tata Motors launched the much-awaited Harrier at a compelling starting price of Rs 12.69 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The Tata Harrier features a unique design derived from the brand's updated aesthetic philosophy, Impact 2.0; and comes in five colour shades: Orcus White, Telesto Grey, Ariel Silver, Thermisto Gold and Calisto Copper.

Even though the colour portfolio is relatively limited, each of these colours match the character of the five-seater SUV. Among the five mono-tone paint shades, Calisto Copper (Orange) is the most popular choice while the others are rather rare. If you are planning to buy the Tata Harrier, do check out our brief summary of the interesting colour choices.

As mentioned before, there are no dual-tone colour choices for the Tata Harrier yet. However, a Mumbai-based Tata Motors dealership has slightly modified the Harrier with a dual-tone paint scheme — Orcus White with a gloss-black roof.

The owner left the chrome section above the window line untouched and this has complemented the overall looks really well. A good majority of Indian buyers are obsessed with painting/wrapping their car's roof or the entire upper-half black. Though it works in most cases, some examples look awful.

As for this Tata Harrier, it has come out well. In the days to come, we can expect some rather extensive customisation options on a dealership level or from other mod-shops. Till then, you can modify your future Harrier through Tata Motors' Imaginator platform.

Powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine, the Tata Harrier produces 138bhp and 350Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which drives the front wheels.

Bookings and sales of the Tata Harrier are going strong and the company has already sold 420 units of the 'benchmark SUV'. We have already driven the new Harrier and were very much impressed by how the SUV drove and handled the rough terrain — check out our detailed review of the Tata Harrier to know more.

Thoughts On The Tata Harrier Modification

Yes, this is not a major modification, but just a cosmetic enhancement. However, with the black roof contrasting perfectly with the white base, this particular example of the Tata Harrier looks more desirable than its stock avatar.
