Ford GT Le Mans Edition -The Final Version Of The Supercar
The Ford GT is among the best supercars you can buy in this world, and the American automaker is bidding farewell to the model by making a final edition of the Ford GT supercar called the Ford GT Le Mans Edition. Also, the Ford GT Le Mans Edition supercar pays homage to the Ford's Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance Professional (LMGTE Pro) entrants in the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours racing, in which the team finished first and third.

Like with all special edition supercars, the Ford GT Le Mans Edition supercar is limited to a certain number and according to Ford, this supercar will be available in extremely limited numbers at just 20 units. Also, the special edition American supercar sports numerous changes on both the outside and inside.

On the exterior, the new Ford GT Le Mans Edition supercar features a Liquid Silver carbon-fibre body with a choice of red or blue colour schemes that have been inspired by the class-winning #68 GT racing car. Also, the red or blue colour schemes can be applied on the front splitter, door mirrors, door sills, side sills, brake calipers, and rear splitters.

In addition to these elements, customers can also choose to add red or blue colour schemes on the 20-inch alloy wheels and lug nuts as well. To further differentiate the Ford GT Le Mans Edition from the standard model, the special edition supercar also gets a 3D-printed titanium dual exhaust.

Stepping inside the Ford GT Le Mans Edition, the customer can choose either a black or red Alacantara driver's seat. However, the passenger seat comes with a standardised ebony colour scheme. This ebony colour scheme further extends towards door pillars and headlining.

To make the Ford GT Le Mans supercar feel even more special, the model gets a carbon-fibre centre console and AC vents, along with an instrument panel badge made from the alloy of the ground-down crankshaft of the GT racing car that finished third in the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours racing.

Despite being the final edition of the second-generation Ford GT supercar, the Ford GT Le Mans does not come with any mechanical changes. In fact, the Ford GT Le Mans Edition remains pretty much identical to the standard version.

This means the new Ford GT Le Mans Edition supercar is powered by the same 3.5-litre, turbocharged, EcoBoost V6 petrol engine. This powertrain produces a maximum power of 659.8bhp and 746Nm of peak torque. Also, the powertrain comes mated to a Getrag 7DCL750 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Thoughts About Ford GT Le Mans Edition
The second-generation Ford GT is an amazing supercar with breathtaking abilities on the racetrack. Since the Ford GT Le Mans Edition will be the final edition of the mid-engined American supercar, Ford could have made it a bit more extra special by making numerous mechanical changes to further enhance the experience.
