Mahindra Scorpio / Scorpio N (7,438 units)

Though Mahindra recently commenced the deliveries of the Scorpio N SUV in India, the SUV has gained tremendous traction in the Indian automobile market. As a result, the sales figures for both the Mahindra Scorpio and Scorpio N SUVs stood at 7,438 units in October 2022, registering a 125 per cent improvement in YoY sales figures.

However, MoM sales dipped by 22 per cent as the company managed to sell more than 2,000 units in the previous month.

Mahindra XUV700 (5,815 units)

The launch of the Mahindra XUV700 gave the Indian SUV maker tremendous traction in the local market and the model became an instant hit among its target audience. Moreover, the SUV offers almost everything you want from a mid-size SUV and comes packed with technology.

In terms of numbers, Mahindra managed to sell 5,815 units of XUV700 SUVs in October 2022, resulting in a YoY sales increase of almost 71 per cent. However, MoM sales figures dipped by 4 per cent.

Hyundai Alcazar (2,847 units)

The Hyundai Alcazar is the 7-seater variant of the Hyundai Creta SUV. In addition to that, the model comes with lot more features than the Creta SUV which it is based upon. In October 2022, Hyundai managed to sell 2,847 units of Alcazar SUVs, which is more than enough to secure the third spot in this list. Also, both YoY and MoM sales figures improved by 104 and 8 per cent, respectively.

Tata Harrier (2,762 units)

The Tata Harrier SUV is a very important mid-size SUV in Tata Motors' product portfolio as the SUV has been very successful in the country. However, despite churning consistent MoM and YoY sales figures since its launch, the SUV missed the third spot by a few hundred units.

In terms of sales figures, Tata Motors sold 2,762 units of Harrier SUV in October 2022, resulting in a YoY sales dip of almost 11 per cent. Moreover, MoM sales figures also dipped by more than 7 per cent.

Tata Safari (1,751 units)

Tata Safari continues to generate decent sales figures for Tata Motors in India, and the SUV is also one of the best-looking 7-seater SUVs you can buy in India. In October 2022, Tata Motors sold 1,751 units of Tata Safari SUVs in India, resulting in a 1 per cent increase in YoY sales. However, MoM sales declined by almost 14 per cent as the company sold 279 units more in the previous month.
