2023 Hyundai Verna Bookings Open – Token Amount, Powertrain, Features & More
Hyundai Motor India has now officially opened bookings for the 2023 Hyundai Verna sedan in the country. Also, the booking amount for the upcoming iteration of the Verna sedan is capped at Rs 25,000.
Design
Though Hyundai is yet to fully reveal the 2023 Verna sedan, teasers images confirm that the upcoming iteration of the Verna sedan sports an all-new design laguage consisting of a split headlamp design, full-width LED DRLs, and sharp styling. Other noticeable design details include diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a wide front grille.
In addition to that, the upcoming 2023 Hyundai Verna will be offered in 7 single-tone and 2 dual-tone exterior colour options and these new exterior colour options include the new Tellurian Brown, Atlas White, and Abyss Black exterior colour options as well.
Powertrain
Coming to the powertrain, the upcoming 2023 Verna sedan will come with petrol-only engine lineup. The base powertrain is likely to be the familiar 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine from the outgoing model. This engine puts out a respectable 113.18bhp of peak power and 143.8Nm of peak torque. Moreover, we expect this power unit to come with two gearbox options - a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox.
The next engine option is a more powerful, direct injection, turbocharged petrol engine with approximately 160bhp of peak power and 320Nm of peak torque. We expect this powertrain to come equipped with a 7-speed DCT gearbox as standard. However, this engine could also come with a 6-speed manual transmission as well. Furthermore, Hyundai has confirmed that the engines in the upcoming 2023 Verna will adhere to new emission regulations and will be compatible with E20 fuel as well.
Features
In terms of features, the upcoming 2023 Verna sedan is expected to come loaded with features such as a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, ventilated front seats, connected car tech, smart boot lid, wireless smartphone charger, electric sunroof and a few more.
ADAS
Furthermore, we also expect the upcoming 2023 Verna sedan to be equipped with ADAS as well. This feature is likely to be equipped only on the top-spec models and come with a long list of active safety features such as Auto Emergency Braking (AEB), adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring system, lane-keep assist, and many more.
