Lamborghini's First-Ever EV Teased Ahead Of Monterey Car Week Debut
Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini has teased the unveiling of an electric concept vehicle at the ongoing Monterey Car Week. The Lamborghini EV Concept will debut on the 18th of August.
The Sant'Agata-based firm first released a teaser image of the upcoming electric concept car on its X (formerly Twitter) page. The teaser image showed a long roofline, which suggests that the EV will be the firm's long-rumoured fourth model, a 2+2 grand tourer.

In a newer post on X, Lamborghini released a teaser video for the same upcoming EV concept which showed a split headlight design, something we've not seen before from the firm.
While the arrival of the concept EV from Lamborghini is sure to create quite a buzz among fans of the raging bull brand, whether that response is good or bad is something we'll only know once the covers come off.
Whatever the response, the Lamborghini EV is expected to take its sweet time to go from concept to production guise. The firm's first production EV is only expected to make its way onto the roads by 2028. The 2+2 grand tourer EV is expected to be joined by the EV successor to the Urus.

The Lamborghini EV will be based on a version of the Volkswagen Group's upcoming modular Scalable Systems Platform (SSP) EV setup dubbed SSP Sport, work on which is being led by Porsche.
The new Volkswagen SSP platform will allow for a DC fast charging time of just 12 minutes for a top-up from 10 to 80 per cent charge. Expect more details (at least targets) to arrive when the Lamborghini concept EV arrives on the 18th.
Till its EVs start hitting the streets, Lamborghini is continuing its journey to go all out with its mad dino-burning powertrains, albeit with electrical assistance. The firm's first series-production hybrid, the Revuelto was revealed earlier this year.
The replacement for the Huracan is also expected to go down this route when it arrives in the near future. The same is also expected to happen to the Urus before its full EV replacement arrives in 2028.
Thoughts About The Lamborghini EV Concept Teaser
The teasers for Lamborghini's upcoming EV concept ahead of its arrival later this week show that the fourth raging bull model is set to set tounges wagging not just for its silent powertrain but also for its unusual shape, last seen in the Estoque concept.
