Here’s Everything We Know So Far About The Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Engage – The Toyota Innova Hycross Twin
Maruti Suzuki is all geared up to make its entry into the more premium spectrum of the Indian MPV segment with the Maruti Suzuki Engage MPV. As such, here is everything we know so far about the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Engage.
What Is It?
The Maruti Suzuki Engage is not a completely new product, but a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross MPV. When launched, the Maruti Suzuki Engage MPV will sit above the Maruti Suzuki's current line up of MPVs such as the Maruti Suzuki XL6 and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.

Price
Since the Maruti Suzuki Engage will be based on the Toyota Innova Hycross, the upcoming Engage MPV will be the most expensive product from Maruti Suzuki till date. We also expect the Strong Hybrid variants of the Maruti Suzuki Engage to be slightly more expensive than Toyota Innova Hycross.
Design
Though the Maruti Suzuki Engage is a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross, we expect the styling of the Maruti Suzuki Engage to be very different. In fact, the front and rear bumbers along with the front grille is expected to be completely redesigned.

Powertrain
Much like the Toyota Innova Hycross MPV, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Engage MPV is also expected to come with two powertrain options - A naturally-aspirated petrol engine, and a Strong Hybrid powertrain.
The 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated, petrol engine will produce 172bhp and 205Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the hybrid powertrain consists of a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated, Atkinson cycle petrol engine and an electric motor. This powertrain produces 184.8bhp and 206Nm of peak torque.
Launch
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Engage MPV will be sold exclusively through the Nexa dealerships across the country. Also, according to Maruti Suzuki, the model is expected to break cover next month on July 5.
Thoughts About The Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Engage
With the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Engage MPV in India, the Nexa dealerships are expected to witness more premium customers. This new set of customers are expected to help the Indo-Japanese automaker by improving the overall sales volume.
