Volvo C40 Recharge Electric SUV Launch Date Confirmed – Deliveries Likely To Commence Soon After Launch
Volvo Auto India is all geared up to launch the Volvo C40 Recharge electric Coupe SUV on September 4. Also, the bookings for the electric Coupe SUV is expected to commence soon within a few days. We also expect the deliveries for the model to commence soon after the launch.
Speaking about the Volvo C40 Recharge, the electric Coupe SUV is soon expected to join Volvo's electric product portfolio. As such, the upcoming Volvo C40 Recharge will be sold alongside the Volvo XC40 Recharge SUV.

In terms of design, the upcoming Volvo C40 Recharge is a completely new model with a new design. However, the model looks distinctly Volvo with its crisp lines and Thor-hammer headlights. Furthermore, elements such as a sloping roofline, long bonnet, and high ground clearance lend the model a distinct silhouette.
The Volvo C40 Recharge will be made available in 6 colour options. These colours include Fjord Blue, Crystal White, Onyx Black, Saga Green, Fusion Red and Cloud Blue. It is worth mentioning that the first 4 shades are already available with the Volvo XC40 Recharge.

Powering the Volvo C40 Recharge is a large 78kWh battery pack. Furthermore, this upcoming Coupe SUV is propelled by two electric motors placed on each axle. In total, these two electric motors produce a total of 402bhp and 660Nm of peak torque.
Thanks to this powertrain setup, the Volvo C40 Recharge electric Coupe SUV is able to reach 100km/h from a standstill in just 4.7 seconds (0.2 seconds quicker than Volvo XC40 Recharge). That being said, the topspeed of the Volvo C40 Recharge is limited to just 180km/h.

In terms of charging, Volvo claims that the Volvo C40 Recharge can charge from 10 per cent to 80 per cent battery capacity in just 27 minutes using a 150kW DC fast charger. Also, the WLTP range for the Volvo C40 Recharge is rated at 530 kilometres.
