Volvo Car India launched the much-awaited Volvo C40 Recharge electric Coupe SUV in India. This newly launched electric coupe SUV will be sold alongside the Volvo XC40 Recharge electric SUV. That being said, here are the top 5 things about the Volvo C40 Recharge.
Design: The new Volvo C40 Recharge is a completely new model with an all-new design. However, the C40 Recharge looks distinctly Volvo with its crisp lines, Thor-hammer headlights, and L-shaped taillights. Design elements such as the sloping roofline, long bonnet, and high ground clearance give a distinct silhouette as well.

In terms of colours, the Volvo C40 Recharge electric SUV will be available in 6 shades including Fjord Blue, Crystal White, Onyx Black, Saga Green, Fusion Red and Cloud Blue. It is also worth mentioning that the first 4 shades are already available with the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
Powertrain: The new Volvo C40 Recharge electric coupe SUV features a large 78kWh battery pack and it is propelled by not one but two electric motors placed on each axle. These two electric motors together produce a total of 402bhp and 660Nm of torque.

Performance: The Volvo C40 Recharge electric coupe SUV can reach 100km/h from a standstill in just 4.7 seconds (0.2 seconds quicker than Volvo XC40 Recharge electric SUV). However, despite sporting such a powerful setup, the top speed of the Volvo C40 Recharge is limited to 180km/h.
Charging & Range: Volvo claims that the Volvo C40 Recharge can charge from 10 per cent to 80 per cent battery capacity in just 27 minutes using a 150kW DC fast charger. Also, the WLTP range for the Volvo C40 Recharge is rated as 530 kilometres

Price & Bookings: Volvo Auto India launched the new Volvo C40 Recharge electric Coupe SUV at Rs 61.25 lakh (ex-showroom) on September 4. However, this is just an introductory price tag and the company could hike the prices anytime.
For bookings, interested buyers have to book the new Volvo C40 Recharge electric coupe SUV directly from the Volvo Cars website. This will be possible from September 5, 5pm onwards.
