BYD Seal EV To Come In 3 Variants – Two Battery Pack Options & More
BYD India recently opened bookings for the upcoming BYD Seal EV electric sedan. According to the EV maker, the BYD Seal EV is scheduled to be launched on March 5, 2024. Apart from that, the model will be available in multiple variants.
Looking into the details, the upcoming BYD Seal EV will be made available in 3 variants - Standard, Extended Range, and Performance. Apart from that, the model will be available in 4 exterior colour options - Cosmos Black, Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, and Arctic Blue.

BYD Seal EV will be powered by an 82.5kWh battery pack and a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor with 230bhp and 360Nm of torque. BYD claims a range of 570km and an acceleration time of 5.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h from a standstill.
The upcoming BYD Seal EV also supports 150kW fast charging, through which it can charge from 10-80 per cent in just 37 minutes. However, using a regular 11kW AC charger, it will take 8.6 hours for a full charge.

That being said, the base version of the BYD Seal EV is expected to sport a smaller 61.4kWh battery pack. Subsequently, thanks to the smaller battery pack, the overall range is also likely to take a hit.
Dimension-wise, the upcoming BYD Seal EV measures 4,800mm long, 1,875mm wide, 1,460mm tall, and sports a wheelbase of 2,920mm. What's also interesting is the BYD Seal EV features a perfect 50:50 weight distribution.

In terms of design, the BYD Seal EV flaunts "ocean aesthetics" design language. Interesting details include its LED headlamps, bumper-mounted boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, full-width LED tail lights, a fixed glass roof and flush-fitted door handles.
On the inside, the BYD Seal EV comes loaded with features such as a 15.6-inch rotatable touchscreen infotainment unit, a large 10.25-inch digital instrument display, a climate control unit, central AC vents, drive selector, heated windscreen, volume controls for the audio system, and 2 wireless charging pads.
The upcoming BYD Seal EV also comes with a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. Additionally, the model sports Level-2 ADAS with features such as autonomous emergency braking, collision avoidance assist, adaptive cruise, lane support, speed detection systems, and lane departure warning.
To attract more customers, BYD is offering an opportunity to win a free ticket to the UEFA EURO 2024 match for customers booking the upcoming BYD Seal EV before the end of April 2024. This offer even includes the round-trip flight from India to the match city.
