Galloni-Wetz Triumphs With Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 At Inaugural 1000 Miglia Experience China 2024
The inaugural 1000 Miglia Experience China concluded with the Alfa Romeo of the San Marino-Luxembourg team, Buick SGM7250G driven by Zhanhe and Hongjiang Zhang, and Mini piloted by Chen Kangwei and Xiao Shanming securing the top three positions. Over four days, participants covered approximately 1,000 km, visiting 11 cities that embraced the event with enthusiasm.
Starting from Guangzhou, a bustling city home to over 18 million people, the route meandered through rural villages, lush forests, and mountainous regions. This journey offered competitors a glimpse into the diverse landscapes of southern China. The race featured six categories ranging from historic to modern vehicles.
Participants engaged in Time Trials across territories previously unfamiliar with regularity events. This provided both novice and seasoned teams an opportunity to hone their skills. Many aimed to compete in future editions of what is known as the Most Beautiful Race In The World.
Fulvio D'Alvia, CEO of 1000 Miglia, expressed satisfaction with the event's success. He credited the FCCC's organisation and support from Guangdong's local authorities and institutions. Contributions also came from Shanghai and Chengdu's Classic Car Museums, the Italy-China Chamber of Commerce, and the Italo-China Institute.
"Bringing Italian excellence to the world and touching the interest and enthusiasm for Made in Italy makes us really proud," said D'Alvia. "The warmth with which we have been welcomed in these territories is precious fuel for our engine."

The victorious crew earned a spot in the 1000 Miglia 2025 edition. This achievement highlights their dedication and skill throughout this challenging race. Participants left with valuable experience and knowledge gained from competing under real conditions.
The event organisers anticipate introducing new features in upcoming years to solidify its status as a key event in the region. The positive reception from local communities underscores its potential as a significant cultural exchange platform.
