Hyundai Reveals Pricing And EPA-Estimated Ranges For Updated 2025 IONIQ 5 Electric Vehicle Lineup
Hyundai has announced the pricing and specifications for its updated 2025 IONIQ 5 electric vehicle lineup. The base model, IONIQ 5 SE RWD Standard Range, is priced at $43,975, including destination charges. This model features a new 63-kWh battery pack. The adventure-oriented XRT trim starts at $56,875 and includes all-terrain tires and Terrain Mode for enhanced off-road capabilities.
The 2025 IONIQ 5 models boast increased battery capacities, offering longer driving ranges. The Long Range RWD version achieves an EPA-estimated range of 318 miles with its larger 84-kWh battery. All models are equipped with a standard North American Charging Standard (NACS) port and CCS adapter to ensure extensive charging access across the country.
Charging times have been optimised with ultra-fast capabilities, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes using a 350-kW DC fast charger. This feature is backward compatible with older U.S. infrastructure.
The IONIQ 5 SE RWD offers an impressive driving range of up to 318 miles starting at $48,025. The top-tier Limited AWD trim is priced at $58,100 and provides a range of 269 miles along with advanced safety and convenience features. All models manufactured at Hyundai's Metaplant America facility in Georgia qualify for federal tax credits of $3,750 on purchase or $7,500 on lease.
The IONIQ 5 XRT model stands out with exclusive features like dual motors (AWD), an 84-kWh battery, and a unique suspension lift providing a ground clearance of seven inches. It also includes black alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, and distinctive design elements such as etched digital camouflage cladding.
Interior and Technology Upgrades
Inside the IONIQ 5, drivers will find redesigned HVAC controls for better ergonomics and a new centre console featuring physical seat-heater controls. Heated rear seats are available from the SEL trim upwards. Technological enhancements include a standard 12.3-inch audio/video navigation system with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration.
The vehicle also supports Hyundai Digital Key 2 Premium for added convenience. Safety features have been upgraded across trims, including Blind-Spot Collision Warning on SE trims and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist on SEL trims and above.
Exterior Design Changes
The exterior of the non-XRT models has been refreshed with restyled front and rear bumpers that accentuate the SUV's wide stance. A new rear spoiler has been added alongside more aerodynamic wheels. New colour options include Atlas White Matte and Ecotronic Gray Matte.
Hyundai Motor America continues to support its vision for Progress for Humanity by offering a diverse lineup of vehicles in the U.S., contributing significantly to the economy through operations in California, Alabama, Georgia, and various R&D facilities.
"The native NACS port and newly extended driving range of the 2025 IONIQ 5 will make the ownership experience and road trips more convenient and enjoyable for our customers," said Olabisi Boyle, senior vice president of product planning and mobility strategy at Hyundai Motor North America.
