Hyundai Creta Alpha Edition Unveiled With Matte Black Finish
The Hyundai Creta Alpha Edition, unveiled at the 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show, has grabbed attention with its striking matte black finish and sporty red accents. This edition contrasts significantly with the variants available in India, where the Creta enjoys immense popularity but lacks this specific color option. The Alpha Edition's allure lies not just in its exterior but extends to its interior enhancements, offering a fresh take on the beloved SUV.
A Fresh Look for the Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta is a familiar sight on Indian roads, leading the compact SUV segment for years. Despite its success, the current range in India includes six monotone and one dual-tone color options, missing the captivating matte black seen on the Alpha Edition at the 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show.

This special edition is based on the 2nd generation Creta, similar to the one sold in ASEAN nations, featuring a Tucson-inspired front grille and dark chrome finishes.
Gloss black shades enhance the SUV's sportiness, covering the alloy wheels, side appliques, C-pillars, and the shark fin antenna. The matte black body gives the Creta Alpha Edition a sophisticated edge. Inside, the all-black theme is accented with a red Alpha logo on the seats and red stitching, creating a cohesive and stylish look.

Interior and Engine Specifications
Despite the exterior and interior revamp, the Alpha Edition retains the pre-facelift model's features available in India. The Indian version of the Creta offers a 1.5L NA petrol engine, a 1.5L turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5L diesel engine, along with multiple transmission options including a 6-speed manual, CVT, 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed DCT.
Currently, Indian customers can choose from seven color options for the Creta: Atlas White, Robust Emerald Pearl, Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Titan Grey, and Abyss Black Pearl in monotone, as well as a dual-tone option combining Atlas White and Abyss Black Pearl. The introduction of a matte black option like the Alpha Edition would undoubtedly be a welcome addition to the Creta's color palette in India.

DriveSpark Thinks
The Hyundai Creta Alpha Edition stands out for its bold styling and unique interior features, setting it apart from the versions available in India. While it's uncertain if Hyundai Cars India (HCIL) will introduce this matte black version to the Indian market, the Alpha Edition showcases the potential for even greater appeal and variety within the Creta lineup.
