Alongside the IONIQ 9, Hyundai will introduce the INITIUM hydrogen fuel cell concept vehicle. This concept car is designed to showcase Hyundai's commitment to alternative energy solutions and innovation in automotive technology.

The IONIQ 9 will be manufactured at the newly established Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Georgia. This facility underscores Hyundai's investment in expanding its production capabilities within the United States.

During the news conference, several key executives from Hyundai will provide insights into the new models. José Muñoz, president and global chief operating officer of Hyundai Motor Company, Olabisi Boyle, senior vice president of product planning and mobility strategy for Hyundai Motor North America, and Simon Loasby, head of Hyundai Design Center, are among those scheduled to speak.

"IONIQ 9’s aerodynamic silhouette, beautiful curves, and pure volume are engineered to create a cohesive form that feels sculptural," said Loasby. "IONIQ’s very own Parametric Pixels are seamlessly integrated into its flushed surfaces."

Public Viewing Opportunities

The public can view both the IONIQ 9 and INITIUM concept during the Los Angeles Auto Show's public days from November 22 through December 1. Visitors can explore these new models along with Hyundai's entire lineup at the show.

Hyundai Motor America plays a significant role in supporting Hyundai Motor Company's vision for progress through technology-rich vehicles offered to U.S. consumers. The company has extensive operations in the U.S., including headquarters in California and manufacturing facilities like the one in Alabama.

These operations contribute significantly to the U.S. economy by generating $20.1 billion annually and providing approximately 190,000 jobs across various sectors.
