Upcoming Mahindra Electric SUV Lineup: Scorpio.e, Bolero.e And More
The Indian automaker Mahindra is set to transition to electric vehicles, focusing on electrifying its existing SUV lineup. Four models are set to get electric versions soon, bringing new options to Mahindra SUV fans.
Mahindra Scorpio.e
The Scorpio.e is the electric version of the Mahindra Scorpio-N. It is expected to use a modified INGLO platform, known internally as P1. This platform supports a wheelbase from 2,775 mm to 2,975 mm. The Scorpio.e will likely feature a skateboard platform instead of the traditional ladder-frame chassis.

Details about the Scorpio.e's powertrain are sparse, but it may share its battery and motors with the Thar.e concept. This suggests a front motor with 109 bhp and 135 Nm and a rear motor with 286 bhp and 535 Nm, providing AWD capabilities.
The expected range could be between 325 km and 450 km, with battery options ranging from 60 kWh to 80 kWh.
Mahindra Bolero.e

The iconic Mahindra Bolero will also go electric. Named Bolero.e, it will likely use the modified INGLO platform. The current-gen Bolero has a 2,680 mm wheelbase, but the new platform will support a longer wheelbase.
The Bolero.e is expected to offer a range of 325 km to 450 km, with battery pack options between 60 kWh to 80 kWh.
Mahindra XUV.e8

The Mahindra XUV.e8, an electric version of the XUV 700, is closest to completion. It has been frequently spotted testing in India. This model will feature three screens inside the cabin and use the INGLO platform with an 80 kWh battery pack.
The range is projected to be 450-500 km, with power outputs from 230 bhp to over 350 bhp, likely using a dual-motor setup. The XUV.e8 could launch by the end of this year.
Mahindra Thar.e

Last year, Mahindra revealed the electric Thar, known as the Thar.e. This model will also use the INGLO platform, modified for off-roading. The wheelbase could range between 2,775 mm and 2,975 mm, and it will be a five-door model.
The Thar.e concept showcased a powerful dual-motor setup with a 109 bhp and 135 Nm front motor and a 286 bhp and 535 Nm rear motor, offering AWD capabilities.
The Thar.e is expected to feature battery pack options from 60 kWh to 80 kWh. The smaller battery pack might offer a range of about 325 km, while the larger pack could provide a range of 435-450 km.
