Upcoming Mahindra XUV3XO: New Interior Features Showcased

Mahindra is set to stir the auto market with the launch of the XUV3XO on April 29, 2024. This vehicle marks the company's first launch for the fiscal year and represents a significant update to the XUV300, six years after its initial introduction in 2018.

The new XUV3XO, which steps in as the successor to the XUV300, has been the subject of much anticipation, fueled by multiple teasers and spy shots that showcase its enhanced exterior and interior features, along with a range of engine options including petrol, diesel, and an expected electric variant.

Exterior and Interior Enhancements

The XUV3XO, while staying within the sub-4 meter category, flaunts exterior upgrades reflective of Mahindra's BE series. These include a redesigned front grille adorned with chrome, modern headlamp clusters, LED DRLs, connected LED tail lamps, a shark fin antenna, and an integrated roof spoiler.

Inside, the vehicle introduces a panoramic sunroof, an upgrade from the earlier model’s single-pane variant, refined seating with perforated leatherette, and a newly designed dashboard.

Segment-First Innovations

Mahindra is aiming high with the XUV3XO, incorporating several first-in-segment features to stand out amongst rivals like Hyundai Venue and Maruti Brezza.

Highlights include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with wireless smartphone connectivity, a similar-sized fully digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, Type-C USB outlets, and a superior Harman Kardon sound system equipped with seven speakers and ambient sound modes.

Advanced Safety Features

The XUV3XO is expected to secure a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP, thanks to its comprehensive safety features. These include seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, a rearview camera with parking sensors, and a Level 2 ADAS package offering ten driver assistance safety features.

Powertrains and Pricing

Underneath, the XUV3XO continues with the powertrains from the XUV300. It offers a choice between a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, a 1.2-liter T-GDI turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT automatic gearbox.

With an expected price range of Rs. 9 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh (ex-showroom), the XUV3XO is poised to maintain its competitive stance in the sub-4m SUV segment against the likes of Kia Sonet and Nissan Magnite.

DriveSpark Thinks

As the reveal date approaches, potential buyers are keenly waiting to see how the XUV3XO will reshape Mahindra's offerings in the highly contested SUV market. The digital renders circulating online only add to the anticipation, offering a glimpse into what could be a new era for Mahindra's SUV lineup.
