2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Launched At Rs 6.79 Lakh - Even More Dzirous
India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Dzire compact sedan in India. Prices for the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire start at Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Dzire features an all-new design, engine and an upmarket interior.
The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, Z-Series petrol engine that debuted on the new Swift. The engine pushes out 80bhp and 112Nm of peak torque and comes paired with five-speed manual and AMT transmission.

The new Dzire's engine also features stop-start technology and other mild hybrid aids. The 2024 Maruti Dzire returns a mileage of 24.79 km/l in manual guise and 25.71 km/l when paired with the AMT gearbox. The 2024 Dzire is also offered in CNG guise which returns a mileage of 33.73 km/kg.
The new Dzire measures 3,995mm long, 1,735mm wide and 1,525mm high and sports a 2,450mm wheelbase. The only change in dimensions to its predecessor is a 10mm increase in height. The 2024 Dzire offers a 163mm ground clearance.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire has undergone quite a styling change with the compact sedan ditching its design dependence on the Swift. Instead, the new Dzire adopts a more boxy shape that may just remind you of its biggest rival, the Honda Amaze.
The front end is a boxy unit with a bonnet that looks mostly flat except for dipping down at the sides and at the front. The large hexagonal grille features a top section in piano black underneath which sit strips of chrome connecting the Suzuki badge to the new headlamps.

The new LED headlamps of the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire include 6 different crystal LED lighting elements each an integrated LED DRLs underneath which sit the halogen indicators. The fog lamps sit lower down on the front bumper in their own enclosures.
From the sides, the Dzire looks a lot more elegant than its predecessor. The roofline flows smoothly into the boot of the Dzire compact sedan meaning it no longer looks like a hatchback with a sedan boot stuck on its bottom. The new Dzire rides on 15-inch alloy wheels shod with 185-section tyres.

The rear section of the Dzire features new squared-off taillights with a unique 3D design to them. These LED taillights are connected to each other by a chrome bar that runs across the Dzire's boot lid. Also seen are a slightly redesigned rear bumper and a small spoiler element.
The interiors of the new Dzire are quite similar to the one on the 2024 Swift except for the fact that Maruti Suzuki has gone for a mostly beige interior theme for the new sedan. The dash is a four-layer unit including one that features faux wood.

At the centre of the dash is a 9-inch infotainment display with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Maruti Suzuki's own connected car suite. Other highlights include a first-in-class sunroof (a single-pane unit), a rear centre armrest with cupholders, an automatic HVAC system with rear AC vents, a wireless charger, cruise control and a 360-degree surround camera.
The new 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire comes packed with safety features like six airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, brake assist, three-point seat belts for all seats and ISOFIX mounts. The new Dzire recently got rated 5 stars for safety by Global NCAP.
