Mercedes-Benz C 300 AMG Line Launched In India At Rs 69 Lakh – Petrol Variants In Demand, GLC SUV Updated

Mercedes-Benz has launched the new C 300 AMG Line in India at Rs 69 lakh (ex-showroom). This model replaces the C 300d AMG Line and is now the top variant in the C-Class lineup. The new C 300 AMG Line brings several updates to the C-Class range and the GLC SUV. The C-Class now includes ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera.

Petrol Preference In Luxury Segment

The shift from diesel to petrol in luxury sedans influenced this variant update. Santosh Iyer, CEO and MD of Mercedes-Benz India, noted that nearly 70 percent of their sedans sold are petrol variants.

The C 300 AMG Line competes with BMW's M340i, priced at Rs 72.90 lakh. The M340i features a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 371bhp.

Power and Performance

The C 300 AMG Line is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, delivering 254bhp and 400Nm of torque. It includes an integrated starter generator providing an additional 21bhp and 205Nm. The overboost function adds 26hp for 30 seconds, producing a 0-100km/h time of six seconds and a top speed of 250km/h.

Previously, the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine in the C 300d produced 261bhp and 550Nm of torque and was priced at Rs 62.70 lakh. The C 300 AMG Line offers an AMG Line package with sporty bumpers and AMG-specific interior touches. The 'Night Package' gives the cabin a blacked-out look. Manufaktur colour options include Patagonia Red Bright and Sodalite Blue.

Exclusive Features

The C 300 AMG Line includes a Burmester 3D surround sound system, digital lights, augmented reality navigation, blind spot assist, and a keyless-go comfort package.

Updates to C 200 and C 200d

The C 200 and C 200d now feature heated and ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, six fast-charging USB-C ports, and adaptive high beam assist. The GLC SUV adds heated and ventilated front seats and new side rear airbags, increasing the total airbag count to nine.
