Nissan Formula E Team Completes Successful Pre-Season Testing Ahead Of Season 11
The Nissan Formula E Team has wrapped up its pre-season testing at Circuito del Jarama in Madrid. Oliver Rowland and Norman Nato, returning to the team, tested the new GEN3 Evo cars. These vehicles will be used for the next two seasons. On Friday afternoon, Alpine Academy driver Abbi Pulling participated in an all-women's test session.
Rowland and Nato concentrated on understanding the new features of the Nissan e-4ORCE 05 cars. This includes upgraded Hankook tyres and an All-Wheel Drive system. Thursday afternoon allowed teams to test the Pit Boost feature, set for Season 11. This feature offers a 10% energy boost through a quick 30-second 600kW charge in the pitlane, enabling drivers to activate Attack Mode afterwards.
Both drivers finished in the top-10 during Friday morning's final session, with Rowland in sixth and Nato in tenth place. Throughout the official testing days, Rowland secured seventh overall while Nato was twelfth on the timesheets. Together, they completed a total of 389 laps, gathering valuable data and insights.
The much-anticipated all-women's test session took place on Friday afternoon. Alpine Academy member Abbi Pulling was quick to set competitive lap times, finishing at the top of the timesheets after three hours. The F1 Academy championship leader demonstrated her skills effectively during this session.
