New Generation Renault Duster Testing Commenced In India: All Details Here

Renault has started testing the new-generation Duster on Indian roads, with a launch anticipated in 2025. The test vehicle was heavily camouflaged, but certain features like the rear door handles and taillight design confirmed its identity. This model is expected to closely resemble its global counterpart.

Exterior Design Features

The 2025 Duster will showcase several distinctive design elements. These include C-pillar-mounted rear door handles, C-shaped taillights, and body cladding on both sides. It will also feature new dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails, an integrated spoiler, and a redesigned rear bumper with horizontal reflectors.

At the front, the Duster will sport a chunky plastic insert on the doors, Y-shaped LED DRLs, a new grille, and a large skid plate. Air vents will be positioned on either side of the front bumper to enhance its appearance.

Interior Enhancements

Inside the cabin, Renault plans to introduce an all-new interior for the Duster. Expected features include a fresh three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a large freestanding touchscreen infotainment system. Additionally, it will have a stubby gear lever and a fully digital instrument console.

The upcoming Duster is likely to offer advanced technology such as a 360-degree camera and updated upholstery. These enhancements aim to provide a modern driving experience for users.

Engine Options

Under the bonnet, the new Duster may come with 1.2-litre and 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid engines. Globally, it is available with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that supports LPG compatibility alongside these powertrains.

In terms of competition, the 2025 Duster will face rivals like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun in the mid-size SUV segment.

Renault is also developing a seven-seat version of this SUV. More details about this variant can be found on their website as they become available. Upon its release in India next year, Renault aims to capture attention with these updates while maintaining familiarity with existing fans of the model.
