Volkswagen Unveils Enhanced Offer Structure For 2025 Golf GTI And Golf R Models
Volkswagen has unveiled the 2025 Golf GTI and Golf R models, showcasing enhanced performance and technology. The Golf R now boasts 328 horsepower, making it the most powerful Golf ever. Both models feature refreshed designs with new colour options and upgraded interiors. The Golf GTI is available in three trims: S, SE, and Autobahn, while a new Golf R Black Edition joins the lineup.
The exterior of both models has been updated with new headlights, a redesigned front bumper, an illuminated logo, and a standard lightbar. Two fresh colours, Alpine Silver Metallic and Slate Blue Metallic, have been added to the palette. Inside, a freestanding 12.9-inch touchscreen with the latest operating system offers improved functionality. Hard buttons replace previous haptic controls on the steering wheel for better usability.

The 2025 Golf GTI maintains its reputation for delivering an engaging driving experience. It features a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder TSI engine producing 241 horsepower. This engine is paired exclusively with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. Standard features include navigation, Dynamic Road Sign Display, and wireless App-Connect on the base S trim.
IQ.DRIVE driver assistance technology remains standard across all trims of both models. This includes Travel Assist for semi-automated driving assistance, Front Assist with Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Monitoring, Active Side Assist for blind spot monitoring, Rear Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Stop and Go, Lane Assist for lane keeping, and Emergency Assist for medical emergencies.
The Golf R's interior mirrors that of the GTI with its new touchscreen system. A Euro Style Package is available for purists seeking fabric seats, sunroof delete options, and an Akrapovič titanium exhaust for enhanced engine acoustics. New 19-inch forged alloy wheels are also introduced; they are 20% lighter than previous versions to improve handling.
Golf R Black Edition
The new Golf R Black Edition features distinctive blacked-out detailing on accents, wheels, brake calipers, and carbon-fibre decor elements. Park Assist Plus is now included as part of IQ.DRIVE technology on all Golf R models alongside existing systems.
