Aston Martin Unveils N°001 Minami Aoyama: First Luxury Home In Japan

Aston Martin has unveiled its first ultra-luxury residence in Asia, N°001 Minami Aoyama, located in Tokyo's prestigious Omotesandō neighbourhood. This four-storey townhouse is a collaboration between Aston Martin and Japan's luxury real estate developer VIBROA Inc. It marks a continuation of Aston Martin's bespoke residential projects, which include developments in Miami and Ras Al Khaimah.

The design of N°001 Minami Aoyama reflects Aston Martin's dedication to craftsmanship and innovation. The residence spans three storeys above a large basement, covering a total area of 724 m² (7,793 ft²). It serves as a sanctuary from urban life, offering a blend of style and privacy for those who appreciate refined living spaces.

The architectural design features vertically aligned metal louvers that create dynamic visual effects as light interacts with the surfaces. These elements provide both animation and privacy while offering glimpses of the interior details like rippled mirrored ceilings and specially commissioned planting on the spa terrace.

Marek Reichman, Aston Martin's Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, stated: "Throughout the design and construction of N°001 Minami Aoyama we have worked closely with VIBROA to celebrate the influence of Tokyo’s culture, history and style." This collaboration highlights Aston Martin's growing presence in Japan and Asia.

The interior design incorporates high-end technology and bespoke craftsmanship. The house includes an automotive gallery on the ground floor showcasing two Aston Martins as art pieces. Adaptive lighting and wave-texture metal ceilings enhance this unique display space.

Inside, residents can enjoy facilities such as a gym, wine cellar, golf simulator system, private spa, and three en-suite bedrooms. The rooftop terrace offers entertaining spaces with kitchen facilities, sunset views, and a green roof section.

Holistic Lifestyle Experience

Toshiyuki Yoshida, CEO of VIBROA, expressed delight in collaborating with Aston Martin: "VIBROA is delighted to be working with such an iconic ultra-luxury brand as Aston Martin." The company provides comprehensive lifestyle services including property maintenance and concierge support.

The residence also features a dramatic sculptural staircase made from folded steel resembling origami. This connects the basement to the ground floor alongside an internal garden illuminated by a pendant chandelier.

Attention to Detail

Aston Martin ensured meticulous attention to detail throughout the project. Fixtures are top-quality with integrated Bowers & Wilkins Audio Systems accessible throughout the home. Italian furnishings by Molteni&C complement black lava stone surfaces in the kitchen.

The spa facilities on the first floor include natural Hinoki timber cladding with an outdoor Onsen pool on an adjoining terrace. These elements create a serene retreat for residents seeking relaxation amidst luxury.

This project symbolises Aston Martin's expansion into Japan following their Ginza showroom opening in Spring 2024 at The Peninsula Tokyo hotel. It represents their commitment to creating holistic lifestyle-driven living experiences globally.
