The owner, Arjun G Shenoy, replaced the standard exhaust with an aftermarket version, causing the car to produce loud noises and flames. This startled pedestrians and created panic on the streets. The police quickly intervened and seized the modified vehicle.
On February 22, 2025, Arjun drove his modified Polo on Church Street in Bengaluru. The car's loud noise and fiery exhaust drew attention from passersby. A video shared on X captured sparks flying from the vehicle as it moved slowly down the street.
Arjun's modifications included not only the fiery exhaust but also illegally tinted windows. Such alterations are against regulations that require visibility into vehicles for safety reasons. The police arrested Arjun but later released him on bail after seizing his car.
The law clearly states that car windows should not be altered to prevent visibility inside. While tinting may seem minor compared to making a car spit fire, both modifications violate legal standards. These actions highlight the risks associated with unauthorized vehicle alterations.
