Mahindra BE 6 Prototype Spotted Testing After Launch! New Features?
Mahindra BE 6 electric SUV was recently launched in India with a starting price of Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This model is available in 5 variants - Pack One, Pack One Above, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three.
According to Mahindra, the deliveries of the top-spec variants of the BE 6 electric SUV will commence by mid-March, followed by lower variants. That being said, ahead of the deliveries of the BE 6, a prototype of the model has been spotted testing again.

Since Mahindra has already launched the BE 6 electric SUV in India, we expect the prototype could be testing future software updates, which are likely to unlock some new features or optimise the current set up.
Apart from this, Mahindra could be testing the reliability of the model by putting it through various real-life conditions, or it could even be collecting real-life data for future optimisations.
Speaking about the Mahindra BE 6 Three Select, the model is priced at Rs 24.50 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-tier Pack Three costs Rs 26.90 lakh. This makes the Pack Three variant Rs 2.4 lakh more expensive than the Select version.

The Mahindra BE 6 Pack Three Select offers adaptive suspension, C-shaped LED DRLs, and centre animation tail lights. It also boasts 19-inch alloy wheels, leatherette steering wheel and seat upholstery, and soft leatherette accents throughout the cabin.
In addition to these features, the car includes dual wireless charging in the front row and a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat with two-way manual lumbar support. Ventilated seats enhance comfort for occupants, while electric door handles and auto-folding ORVMs add convenience.
Safety is prioritised with seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, blind view monitor, and a live view recording system. Level 2 ADAS includes one radar and one camera for adaptive cruise control, front parking sensors, cornering lamps, fog lamps, sequential turn indicators, and a start-up lighting sequence.

The Mahindra BE 6 Pack Three Select is equipped with a smaller 59 kWh battery pack offering a range of 535 km. This battery supports DC fast charging up to 175 kW, allowing it to charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Pack Three variant features a larger 79 kWh battery pack with an impressive range of 682 km. Like its counterpart, it also supports DC fast charging at the same rate.
The rear-wheel-drive setup in the Pack Three Select delivers a maximum output of 230 bhp and torque of 380 Nm. In contrast, the top-tier Pack Three variant produces higher power figures at 285 bhp while maintaining the same torque level.

The premium features of the Pack Three include ambient lighting with over 16 million colour options integrated into both the cabin and glass roof. An augmented reality HUD enhances driver experience.
The level 2 ADAS in the Pack Three is upgraded with five radars and one camera for advanced functionalities like auto lane change, lane centring, emergency steering assist, blind spot detection, and cross-traffic alerts.
