Mahindra XEV 9S Teased Again Ahead Of Nov 27 Debut - Reveals New Features
Mahindra has released a new teaser for its upcoming XEV 9S electric SUV, confirming additional features ahead of its official debut at the Scream Electric reveal event in Bengaluru on November 27. The latest reveal showcases the SUV's interior upgrades, including a few enhancements not previously seen in Mahindra's electric range.
The teaser confirms that the Mahindra XEV 9S will come equipped with a Harman Kardon sound system and a power-adjustable driver's seat with memory function. It also retains the toggle-style power window switches featured on the earlier XEV.9e and BE.6 interiors.
Previous teasers of the XEV 9S revealed the upcoming seven-seater EV's triple-screen dashboard layout, consisting of separate displays for the driver, central infotainment system and front passenger. The cabin design also features ambient lighting, floating panels, and a panoramic glass roof, elements that position the XEV 9S as the flagship in Mahindra's Born Electric lineup.
The upcoming Mahindra XEV 9S is expected to feature ventilated and massaging front seats, multi-zone climate control, and wireless phone charging pads for both front and rear passengers. Connectivity is likely to be powered by Mahindra's latest AdrenoX AI-based infotainment system, integrated with over-the-air (OTA) capability for software and performance updates.
Safety and driver assistance are expected to match the brand's top-tier models, with Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, and hill-hold assist likely to be standard. Mahindra is also working on new connected features that will allow remote vehicle access and control through a smartphone app, expanding functionality beyond traditional infotainment.
Powertrain details are yet to be officially confirmed, but the XEV 9S is expected to share its electric architecture with the XEV 9e, including the two 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options with a range of around 500km in the real world..
We expect prices for the Mahindra XEV 9S to start around ₹21 lakh (ex-showroom), extending up to ₹30 lakh for the top-spec variant. The XEV 9S will be the flagship model from Mahindra's Born Electric portfolio as it pushes ahead with its electrification plans. Mahindra is expected to announce complete specifications and pricing during the Scream Electric reveal event in Bengaluru, with the XEV 9S expected to hit showrooms by early 2026.
