Mahindra XEV 9S Teased Again - Reveals New Details
Mahindra has released a new teaser video for the upcoming XEV 9S SUV, confirming several production-ready design elements ahead of its reveal scheduled for 27 November 2025 in Bengaluru.
The latest video shows the use of a stacked headlamp arrangement positioned below a wide LED light bar running across the nose. The bumper sections appear sharper with cleaner surfacing, and the taller bonnet helps establish a more upright and substantial stance for the three-row electric SUV.
The silhouette shows an extended wheelbase and a longer rear quarter section, indicating a focus on maximising interior room. The overall shape follows a more linear and elongated design language compared to smaller EVs, with a flatter roofline that suggests improved headroom for all three seating rows.
The rear section in the teasers reveals a simplified design with block-like contours and a clean tailgate, though the complete lighting signature has not yet been shown. The proportion of the rear overhang supports the packaging of the third row without compromising the SUV's overall balance.

Inside, Mahindra has confirmed a triple-screen layout spanning from the driver's side to the front passenger area. The arrangement includes a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment touchscreen and a dedicated passenger-side display integrated into a curved, single-piece housing on the dashboard.
The steering wheel follows a two-spoke design, while the dashboard adopts a multi-layered structure with contrasting textures. The interior features an all-black colour scheme with lighter accents, and the seats display a more premium contour with additional side bolstering for better support.
A sliding second-row seat configuration has been shown in the teasers, indicating flexibility in managing legroom across the second and third rows. The cabin layout suggests a focus on accommodating multiple seating positions while maintaining usable space for passengers in all three rows.
Mahindra's Born Electric platform underpins the XEV 9S, and the model is set to be positioned above the XEV 9e and BE 6 in the company's EV lineup. The INGLO architecture used for the SUV supports different battery sizes, high-voltage charging systems and modular interior dimensions.
The expected price band for the XEV 9S is between ₹21 lakh and ₹30 lakh, positioning it in the midsize and upper midsize electric SUV segments. The teaser strategy indicates an emphasis on highlighting design and cabin technology before announcing specific motor outputs and battery capacities.
Bookings for the XEV 9S are anticipated to begin shortly after the reveal, with deliveries to start in the following months. More information on range figures, drivetrain layout and charging performance is expected on the day of the official unveiling.
