Milltek Introduces Performance Exhaust Systems For BMW M5 And Porsche 992.2 Hybrids At Goodwood Festival
Milltek has introduced new performance exhaust systems for high-performance hybrids at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, held from 10 to 13 July 2025. These systems are designed for the Porsche 992.2 Carrera Hybrid and BMW G90 M5 PHEV, enhancing the sound of their powerful engines.
The BMW M5 G90 PHEV features a 4.4-litre V8 plug-in hybrid engine with a total power output of 727 hp. Milltek's new exhaust system for this model is a non-resonated particulate filter back system that enhances sound and offers a noticeable difference between valves open and closed. This system is available in various trims, including polished stainless, cerakote black, brushed titanium, or burnt titanium.
For the Porsche 992.2 GTS Hybrid, Milltek has developed an OPF/GPF back system for its 3.6-litre engine with 478 hp. Although currently a prototype, production is expected to commence soon. Both exhaust systems fit after the standard particulate filter, ensuring no changes to official emissions figures.
Milltek's engineers have ensured that all exhaust systems are crafted from T304L grade stainless steel at their Derbyshire facilities. This guarantees high quality and durability. The company offers these systems for UK and USA versions and other global markets, including compatibility with the G99 Touring model.
Kev Hall, Technical Operations Manager at Milltek, stated: "The latest hybrid models from BMW and Porsche offer an impressive amount of power, but like any high-performance car, we knew we could develop a Milltek exhaust system to enhance the sound these awesome engines make." He added that hybrid drivers should not miss out on the best sound output from their petrol engines despite using battery power.
