Nissan's Upcoming C-Segment SUV Spied - Interiors Revealed

Nissan's upcoming C-segment SUV has been spotted testing once again on Indian roads, and for the first time, clear images of its interior have surfaced, thanks to 91 Wheels. The Nissan C-Segment SUV will mark the Japanese automaker's push into the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment, which is currently dominated by players like Hyundai, Kia, and Maruti Suzuki.

The leaked interior shots reveal a clean and layered dashboard design, with a focus on both technology and practicality. A free-standing touchscreen infotainment system takes centre stage. Below it, slim rectangular AC vents are neatly integrated, giving the cabin a horizontal layout that adds to the sense of space.

The SUV's flat-bottom steering wheel is a multi-functional unit with mounted controls. Behind it, a fully digital instrument cluster is visible, with the images confirming the presence of a large display in place of traditional dials.

In terms of materials, the prototype features a dark theme. The centre console houses a gear selector, rotary dial, and a wireless charging pad, along with generous storage areas.

On the features front, the Nissan C-Segment SUV is expected to offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, automatic climate control, and a premium sound system. Rear AC vents, ample charging points, and multiple storage spaces are also likely to be part of the package, aiming to strengthen its case as a family-friendly SUV.

Though Nissan has yet to reveal official dimensions or specifications, the SUV is expected to be built on the CMF-B platform, which already underpins models in global markets. The India-spec version will reportedly share certain components with Renault's upcoming Duster.

Engine options could include a turbo-petrol unit with both manual and automatic(CVT) gearboxes. While no diesel variant is expected, Nissan may consider hybrid technology in the future to meet rising demand for efficiency and lower emissions. Safety equipment is likely to feature six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, and advanced driver assistance systems on higher trims.

The global debut of the Nissan C-SUV is expected to be around mid-2026, with an India launch slated shortly after. The new Nissan SUV will take on established rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, and MG Astor in what is one of the most contested SUV categories in the country.
