Renault & Nissan Sales Figures Look Contrasting
The month of September 2025 brought mixed fortunes for alliance partners Renault and Nissan in India. While Renault climbed to 10th position on the OEM sales chart with a modest rise in market share, Nissan slipped to 12th, continuing its reliance on a single model.
Renault's market share stood at 1.1%, marking a 0.2% year-on-year (YoY) improvement, while Nissan's share declined to 0.4%, down from 0.6% in September 2024.

Renault currently sells three models - Triber, Kiger, and Kwid, whereas Nissan's domestic sales are sustained solely by the Magnite. However, both brands are gearing up for new launches, with the Renault Tekton SUV confirmed for Q2 2026, and Nissan planning an all-new C-segment SUV and 7-seater MPV by mid-2026.
